Track description
We invite abstract submissions (500 words) with a focus on interaction technology and design innovation and societal relevance. We welcome papers that explore the role of user research, interaction design, user experience engineering, and design thinking in addressing critical societal challenges. Topics may include digital behavior change interventions, interactive health, mobility, education, collaborative work, and entertainment technologies, assistive systems, human-AI interaction, information visualization, engineering interactive systems, human-robot interaction, and sustainable, inclusive design approaches that respond to contemporary social issues.
This call seeks research that not only advances HCI but also demonstrates its potential to impact society positively. We encourage interdisciplinary work that bridges technological innovation with human and societal needs. Papers highlighting the societal implications of HCI, including accessibility, ethics, and community engagement, are especially welcome.
We invite submissions from all research fields, covering empirical, theoretical, and applied studies. By fostering a cross-disciplinary dialogue, this track aims to contribute to the broader discourse on the intersection of technology, design, and societal impact.
