Market square

NWO ICT.OPEN wants to facilitate collaboration and networking between researchers of all disciplines in the Dutch ICT community, and connect academic ICT scientists with industrial, social and policy-related ICT stakeholders. At NWO ICT.OPEN on 20 April, we provide an interactive area with several tables and whiteboards that form a market square.

This interactive area consists of the following topics:

  • Research Resources Market: Here, you can offer your computing facilities, hardware, software, smartware, and robots with other researchers that could use them for their projects. The Research Resources Market allows participants of ICT.OPEN2023 to share or borrow equipment, while fostering connection and collaboration. Join today and discover the resources and connections you need to succeed in your research!

To participate in this topic, send an email to ictopen@nwo.nl with your personal details as well as the resources you would like to share before 13 April 2023.

  • Research Themes and Matching: Looking for an exciting research programme to sink your teeth into? Look no further than Research Themes and Matching! Here, researchers find interesting and innovative research themes, allowing you to explore the topics you are passionate about alongside like-minded peers.

As an example, such a theme is "What is the simplest intelligent process?" by Dr. Lydia Meijer. She is available at the market square to discuss this topic with you. However, we also encourage you to suggest your own research theme, so that there is no shortage of fascinating topics to explore. So why wait? Share your topics at the Research themes and Matching table at the market square and find like-minded researches!

  • Consortium Engineering: Here, you can interact and network with potential partners for your research proposal! Our Consortium Engineering board offers a space for like-minded individuals to come together and build a powerful research consortium. Simply indicate your interest on our interactive wall and start connecting with potential consortium members. Don't miss out on the opportunity to collaborate and advance your research!

  • Researchers and Vacancies: Looking for the perfect job opportunity or research partner? Look no further than our Researchers and Vacancies board! Our job vacancy board connects researchers with recruiting companies and matches students with promotors to help guide their research. Therefore, if you are looking for a job or have a position to offer within academia or in a company, this is the place to share it. Find the opportunities and partnerships you need to take your research to the next level!

Don't miss out on the chance to advertise your research or job opportunities! You can also bring a QR-code or similar and post it on the market square to provide additional information.
