Track description

Responsible and Safe Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the design, development, deployment, and governance of AI systems in ways that uphold ethical principles, social norms, and legal frameworks while ensuring human well-being and minimizing corresponding risks of harm. This implies capturing and embedding values such as transparency, safety, security, fairness, and accountability since the beginning of the life cycle of AI systems. As AI systems are increasingly integrated into societal domains such as healthcare, education, security, defence, financial, and public administration, the implications of building and using them in an irresponsible and/or unsafe way could be experienced at large scale. At the same time, the rapid integration of generative and autonomous AI further heightens these concerns by introducing novel challenges of unpredictability, misinformation, and value misalignment. Hence, addressing Responsible and Safe AI dimensions is an important aspect to be considered at both academic and practitioner levels in order to ensure that AI technologies evolve in ways that are beneficial, trustworthy, and sustainable for both current as well as future generations.

In this track, we welcome contributions from research and practitioner communities by means of posters, oral presentations, and demos surrounding the following topics, but limited to:

• AI Ethics, Responsible AI

• AI Safety, AI Security, Trustworthy AI

• Explainable AI, AI Transparency, AI Fairness

• AI Autonomy, Control, and Feedback

• Responsible GenAI, GenAI Safety, GenAI Security, Trustworthy GenAI

• Responsibility and Trustworthiness in Human-AI Teaming
