Track: Security and Trust

Track description

While rapid developments in fields such as cloud, IoT, and artificial intelligence bring major economic and social benefits, these innovations also introduce significant challenges regarding security, privacy, and trustworthiness. Therefore, there is a growing need to develop and investigate novel technologies that secure real-world systems against attacks using both preventative measures, as well as solutions for the detection of and recovery from attacks. Moreover, society demands increased trust in these systems before adopting such automation systems. Hence, there is an increasing need to ensure careful processing of the data handled by these systems to provide privacy guarantees as well as a need to provide explainable output for the end users. To address these needs, we welcome a variety of security and privacy techniques that improve the security and trust in existing systems, ranging from cryptography, to systems and network security, to information hiding and automation of security processes.

In this track, we provide a platform where we invite PhD and MSc students to discuss the emerging trends in security/privacy and showcase their latest results through:
- Oral presentations, sharing the latest insights and research findings.
- Demos, showcasing real-world applications and solutions.
- Posters, to visually engage people in (ongoing) research.
